If one believes that the universe has a specific ordination then clearly I have pissed someone off.
If one believes on the other hand, that the goings on for our world are completely random, then they must at least agree the statistics for the sheer amount of bizarre events that happen to me are completely throwing off the bell curve.
I swear I was just trying to get our tax stuff to the accountant yesterday.
Traffic slowed to waltz and I was mentally reviewing the weekend I had just spent in Raleigh NC seeing the Carolina Rollergirls bout. I was on a two lane access road approaching the I-85 split and in the mouth of the exit I could see a semi pulled into the emergency lane with a fire truck, an ambulance and at least two police cars on site. When I reached the front of the lane, I waited for the officer directing traffic to wave me ahead even though my passage was unobstructed but he wasn't looking at me, he was looking at a white Ford Taurus that was slowly rolling towards him. He yelled at the car to stop, it seemed an ordinary exchange but then the cop's demeanor changed instantly and then whole world slowed down to a swirling event horizon that I will now get to replay eternally in my head like an infomercial for how ugly the world can be.
